The second part of Tessa’s session took place at Thea’s Interiors. The staff was so wonderful and generous, please pay them a visit next time you are in the neighborhood! Their quaint shop was the perfect backdrop for Tessa’s ensemble and took my breath away by all it’s charm. Here is the first in Tessa’s series of vintage Barbie inspired portraits. The concept here was capturing this youthful moment of impulse and romance by putting Tessa in a setting where we ask ourselves, is she coming, going, and of course…is there a boy in this story?

Special thanks to the cab driver, wish I caught his name and could give him a plug here. Nicest driver ever!

I am have been walking around my neighborhood appreciating all the “congrat’s grad” banners and have been thinking off all the wonderful girls I photographed last season, heading off to college and life! So, to all those girls…CONGRATS! You are all stunning and beautiful!

I can not wait for this years gorgeous upcoming seniors and all the fun we will have stylizing their custom photo-shoots! I recently took out my senior rep for her official pictures and we had a blast! Her shoot had been in the works for months and I wanted to share with you the inspiration. These classy vintage Barbie cards served as the starting point for some really great images I am excited to share with you soon.

Taylor really wanted her senior portraits to feature some antique bicycles. While we didn’t find bikes, we did find some really charming antiques that brought a lot of contrast to this shoot! We tucked into old chicken coops, and searched old sheds to create some really moody images. Taylor was flawless and totally up for my crazy ideas, the perfect model in every way. She even made friends with a farm cat, which was a magical photographic dream come true for me! Thanks Taylor!

This whole session I just could not get enough of this angel face! At one moment Dominique’s mother expressed to me the joy her daughter has brought to her, how she is the perfect child. Glimpses of this girls tender personality have charmed every encounter I have had with her. She is filled with generosity and kindness. Dominique is a French name, it means, with God. For this girl, a name most fitting.

The Washington Park Rose Gardens were the ideal location for Eunice’s senior portraits. Primarily because Eunice and the rose possess very similar qualities. They are both delicate, sweet, and completely charming.

I can’t say enough about this girl, mostly because she’s my sister! She’s a senior this year and it makes me feel old! More than beautiful, she has the most fun loving presence and personality. It was fun for me to interpret everything I adore about my baby sister into these images. She was totally workin’ the crazy wind and that awesome pink cowgirl hat!

Courtney and I ventured down to the water front for her photo-shoot. I was thrilled by the energy of the city and by the way it complimented her personality. A humble beauty, Courtney is full of life and adventure. While she feels more comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt, she is still stunning in a dress. Put simply, Courtney is a classic.

It was a pleasure meeting Anna. You can tell by looking at her that she is beautiful inside and out, she has a special warmth and infectious happiness. Of course, I knew in advance that our sentimental souls could be sisters based simply on her desire to have her senior pictures taken in the home she grew up in! And what a beautiful home it is, too. Idyllic for childhood with a sunlit playroom and a cozy garden yard backing up to a Never-land forest. It was the perfect backdrop to capture this chapter of her life.
